Selun Race 98
The Selun RACE98 is made of high-strength aluminum. The alloy, developed for aircraft construction, withstands extreme cold and bending loads.
The sophisticated design, with its focus on reducing weight while improving stability and performance, results in the lightest pin binding.
The stable lightweight design offers maximum performance for tough racing conditions.

Contraction spring in the binding front
The adjustable locking mechanism
It adapts to all makes of touring boots. The adjustable, secure hold is of central importance in racing.
Ergonomic unlocking
Thanks to the very flat locking lever, unlocking during a race is very quick, either by stepping on the ski or touring boot, or by hand.

FEM analysis analyzes each individual component
The Race binding has been optimized in weight, so that stability and functionality are guaranteed at all times during tough racing conditions.
For heavy steel components, the weight savings are considerable.
Removable crampon bearing
The crampon bearing is installed or omitted depending on the conditions.

Contraction spring in the binding front
At the heart of the binding front is the ground breaking new development that makes the difference: the contraction spring between the toggle levers simultaneously functions a spring element and a pivot joint. The simplicity of this design convinces through the reduction in the large number of compo nents and saves weight like no other.
Stopper with optimal
Park position
The stopper is retracted above the ski in the park position, ensuring that no components protrude beyond the ski edges. The ingenious design prevents the ski from tipping over due to the stopper feet getting caught.

Walk Position Buttocks
With its sliding locking mechanism, Selun has achieved another groundbreaking innovation that significantly differs from the current state of the art. The slider is moved forward with one hand, the stopper is engaged in the park position, and the slider is locked in the walk position. The minimal climbing aid allows for a stride at least 3 cm longer than with conventional race bindings, and the cumulative effect of these steps allows athletes using Selun Race bindings to reach the finish line several hundred meters ahead of their competitors. The foot position between the heel pins further secures the touring boot against lateral forces with every step, providing added stability on descents with skins during the ascent.
Departure position buttocks
By pulling hard on the slider loop, the slider unlocks, springs back and releases the pins for the descent position.

The Race 98 is available with 3 different fixed
Z-values for torsion and frontal release are available.
Z-value 6 athletes up to 60 kg
Z-value 8 athletes up to 80 kg

Removable stopper
Leash
The stoppers are easily removable. The binding can be used without the stoppers.
or the stoppers can be replaced with tether straps.
Extremely lightweight
Fixing screws
The fastening screws are made of high-strength material
Lightweight metals form the ultimate final argument for the Selun Race 98.
