HISTORY
The Selun ski touring binding was developed from the desire to take the pin binding to a completely new level.
Hermann Wehrli has been a passionate ski tourer for over 40 years and an expert on touring bindings from various brands. He recognized the potential of the pin binding early on and was one of the first to adopt this revolutionary system.
As a technically savvy enthusiast, Hermann Wehrli immediately saw potential for improvement.
But only after selling his machine factory, Wecotech AG, was he able to concentrate fully on the further development of this ingenious product.
In just two winter seasons, a new type of pin binding was created – with a clear focus on lightness, stability, safety and durability.
After three years of intensive testing on various continents, conducted by renowned personalities from the ski and touring scene, the Selun Swiss binding is ready for use.
A highlight: the crossing of the Greenland ice sheet—over 600 kilometers on skis, towing heavy sleds—without any incidents. Even Robert Peroni, pioneer of the ice sheet, applauded the extraordinary achievement.
A true challenge: Chile's volcanoes, which are particularly well-suited for testing bindings under tough conditions. From extremely steep descents on rock-hard cauliflower ice to beautiful firn passages, various types of snow must be negotiated depending on the altitude. Abrasive volcanic ash is also often encountered, which is particularly damaging to the material.

In this region, which combines tradition and innovation, we create a product that meets the highest standards.

SUSTAINABILITY
Crafted with care and passion
for everyone who loves nature.
At Selun, the focus is on the user.
A good product should be useful and bring joy – in the long term.
Cheaply produced disposable products contradict this philosophy. Things that have no value pollute the environment and don't last long.
A high-quality product can and should have its price because it will serve you reliably for years.
In our factory in Toggenburg, production is as environmentally friendly as possible: with short distances, energy-saving processes, and minimal waste.
But a good product doesn't end with the sale. Every customer deserves first-class service, because even the best technology can fail sometimes.
Providing comprehensive customer service that helps quickly and reliably is therefore an essential part of our responsibility.
